Hi everyone!
I started my new career as a tour guide!
I had been away from home for 13 days
and traveled around Japan with 40 cute American Student Ambassadors
and 4 wonderful Delegation leaders!
Everyday was really like a drama! Hahaha!
I took them around Tokyo (including Tokyo Metropolitan Government,
Meiji Shrine, Imperial Palace, Harajuku, Roppongi, Akihabara and Asakusa etc),
Mt Fuji, Hakone, Takayama, Gifu, Hiroshima and Kyoto.
Can you imagine where it is?
I enjoyed Mt Fuji trekking with vigorous students!
They love Mt Fuji very much! It was wonderful to share a good time with them.
The picture on the left is called,"ocean of the clouds" as Mt Fuji is higher than the clouds.
The right picture is a crater of Mt Hoei. I saw some students running around the crater with excitement.
A student has just caught a Iwana(char) fish with his own hands!
Look at his face. You see how happy he is!
Two girls are struggling with the fish trying to skewer them with bamboo sticks.
Later we broiled the fish over the charcoal fire and ate them!
It was really yammy!!(≧∇≦)
We visited a local shrine called Mizunashi shrine
located in Hida-Ichinomiya
where we stayed at a wonderful family inn named Mizuno-sou.
They love mama-san and papa-san(the owners)very much
partly because mama-san is a great cook and often gave them icecream?!
In Nagaragawa in Gifu, we enjoyed the demonstration of
the Cormorant Fishing at the hotel.
We could even touch the cormorants! How lucky we were!
I was amazed to know how the Americans love wearing Yukata and Happi.
Many girls bought yukata for their souveniors.
We also enjoyed Japanese drum performance and Bon-dancing.
It was really a wonderful night.
To my surprise, there were even several reportrers
on local newspapers and Asahi newspaper. Wow!
In Kyoto, they experienced Kyogen and practiced calligraphy.
They were excellent programs for the students.
We visited Miyajima at high tide! (Last year I visited at low tide.)
They love Miyajima and cute deer!
Some students became excited having their brochures eaten by deer!

As the final day was approaching, not a few students said to me,
"I don't want to go back to the States. I love Japan so much
I will come back here again! "
I'm thrilled to hear that and
I realized my first tour was a great success!!

One day, one of the leaders said to me
viewing the beautiful mountain scenery of Hida on the bus,
" You are proud of your country, aren't you?"
Yes, at that moment, I had a full realization that
I am very proud of my country.
Japan is a beautiful country indeed.
There are so many beautiful things to see
and unique things to experience.
I'm very happy
to become a tour guide
finally ! (*^^*)
